Here are two important quotes from Our Daily Bread.
First, sent to us at The Mission Church, “thanks so much to the Mission Church team for helping out with meal service at ODB. On 8/8/23, your team served 169 meals to your neighbors in need.”
Second, sent to the entire ODB family, “September is Hunger Action Month, and the challenge continues. We are asking all our supporters to take action in some way, big or small, to help those who are hungry in our community. This just in…The Mission Church will be collecting canned goods at their September Friday Fellowship Nights at will deliver the proceeds to ODB at the end of the month.”
Here is what we are doing for ODB. We will collect non-perishable items to donate to ODB. You should bring them to our September Friday Fellowship gatherings. We will meet on 9/1 & 9/15.
Our hope is that parents with children will shop with them to purchase the items to donate to the less fortunate. As a parent whose children have moved out of our home, we feel this is a great opportunity to model the love of Jesus in action.
