- Thankfulness looks back in time.
- Hope looks ahead.
Both are focused on the grace and mercy of Jesus extended to us. It is God’s faithfulness in the past – the Holy Spirit at work in our lives and being thankful – that gives us hope for the future.
The Apostle Paul reminds the Philippians (1:6), “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”
Let’s be thankful. Let’s also be hopeful.
