10-4 means understood.

We have read the Sermon on the Mount; Jesus has told us how to live.  Above all things, we treat others the way we want to be treated.  Jesus says, “For this is the Law and the Prophets.”

To help us obey, here’s a simple model for finding the narrow gate and following the road that leads from that gate.  It’s not the only plan, but it’s a time-tested & proven model.

It starts with 3 tens and ends with four people.  Because everybody lives forever somewhere, our focus must always be on people.    The 3 tens build upon personal & private devotion.  Are you willing to…

  • Read the Bible 10 minutes every day
  • Pray for 10 minutes daily?
  • Become a percentage giver of your money?

People who give what’s left over never give enough; we’re too selfish.  We need to determine at the beginning of the year how much we want to give away by the end of the year.  And if yes, would you be willing to set a course to become a 10% giver within several years?

It starts with 3 tens and ends with four people.  Can you connect with 2 people…

  • Inside this room who can encourage & walk with you?
  • Outside this room who don’t know Jesus, but need to see how much a Christ-follower loves them.

If we will commit to re-prioritizing our calendars, checkbooks & To-Do lists, this simple method will help us find the narrow gate and stay on the right road.
